Happy Choice

Hold me down,
the air has turned to water
This weightless resistance,
is losing all order

Memories of buoyant pasts,
shredded by the fog
Stuck on this itinerary
headed for the gods
The inevitable end
becoming all too clear
I now must close my eyes,
to engage inside this fear

Left for the bodiless folk
hiding in the blank peripheries
A spirit-triggered choke
whispering with intimacy
Your guidance, dear one
has lead me astray
Please don’t take me there,
I must find my way

You have never been afraid
to take my friends away
It is but our choice
to continue day by day
